The Liang Group
IN THE DEPARTMENT OF BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING @ SEU
The research in our group mainly focus on:
1, Nanochemistry. We actively explore new methodologies (reactions) for synthesizing nanomaterials, including dendrimers, supermolecular hydrogelators, and inorganic nanoparticles for bioengineering applications.
2, Molecular and Cellular Imaging. We develop novel molecular probes for imaging or manipulating targeted biomolecules in normal and diseased states, usually for cancer early detection.
3, Imaging modality. We combine different imaging modalities for disease dignosis, therapy evaluation, et al.
Our lab welcome students/scholars with diverse backgrounds and expertise including synthetic and analytical chemistry, protein and nanoparticle engineering, molecular and cellular biology, medical imaging, and many more. Each individual plays crucial roles in multiple research projects and learn knowledge from each other in the interdisciplinary projects as well. We provide an excellent research and training environment for Ph.D. scientists and graduate students, medical students and residents.
